Helper code of conduct
What we ask of every helper, and what you can expect from us.
Share what you know
Help from your own experience of the procedure. Say when something is your experience rather than a rule, and point to the guide or the official source when you can.
Experience, not advice
You share personal experience, not legal, tax or immigration advice. If someone needs a professional, tell them.
Be honest about what you've done
Only add procedures you've done yourself, with where and when you did them.
Respect people
Be patient and kind. No pressure, judgement or discrimination.
Protect privacy
Never ask for or accept identity documents, passwords, bank details or photos in the chat. Don't pass on anyone's details or conversation.
Keep it on the platform
Don't ask for payment, tips or contact details to take a request elsewhere. You're paid from the helper pool.
Your choice, your time
You choose which requests to accept and when you help. There are no shifts, targets or required hours.
Taxes
You're responsible for declaring your earnings and paying your own taxes. Stripe reports earnings to the tax authorities as EU rules (DAC7) require.
If something goes wrong
Report messages that worry you. Breaking this code can mean you stop being a helper; we'll tell you why.
This code is part of our terms of use.
